Fraud Analyst - L1 (Banking) - Remote, Night Shift - 2-Month Contract

ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT Capitex is a specialist Financial Crime Compliance talent provider. We are building a fraud operations team for a 6-month staffing engagement with a leading Kuwaiti bank's 24/7 digital fraud operations function. We are hiring four L1 Fraud Analysts for a fixed 2-month, fully remote engagement providing overnight fraud monitoring coverage for the bank's 24/7 digital fraud operations function. We want to be straightforward about the shape of this role: it is a defined 2-month term covering the night shift on Kuwait time. Extension is possible if the client's coverage model evolves, but is not guaranteed and should not be assumed. It is an excellent fit if you want intensive, real fraud operations experience with a Gulf bank on a clearly defined commitment. THE ROLE You will be the first line of the bank's overnight fraud defence: monitoring the real-time alert queue, triaging and dispositioning alerts within SLA, and escalating anything complex or high-risk to the L2 analyst and senior investigator. You will work under the bank's direction as part of a Capitex-provided team. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Monitor and work the real-time fraud alert queue across digital banking, cards and payments during night-shift hours (Kuwait time). - Triage alerts using defined playbooks: verify activity, contact-strategy actions where applicable, disposition as genuine, fraud or refer. - Escalate complex, high-value or pattern-linked cases to L2 with a clear, complete handover narrative. - Meet alert-handling SLAs and quality standards, and keep case records accurate and complete. - Flag recurring false positives and emerging patterns to the team's data analyst. - Hand over cleanly at shift end to ensure 24/7 continuity. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - 1-3 years in fraud operations, transaction monitoring, disputes/chargebacks or a similar alert-driven banking environment. - Experience working an alert queue on a fraud or transaction monitoring system (any major platform). - Genuine availability and suitability for sustained night-shift work aligned to Kuwait hours (AST, GMT+3) - please check the overlap with your own time zone before applying. - Reliable home working setup: quiet environment and stable high-speed internet. - Clear written English for case notes and escalation handovers. - Available to commence in August 2026 - immediate or short-notice availability strongly preferred for this role. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS - Fixed 2-month consultancy agreement with Capitex; possible extension, not guaranteed. - Fully remote for the entire term - no travel or relocation required. - Competitive monthly consultancy fee for the fixed term, inclusive of shift premium. - Laptop (Dell Latitude) provided by Capitex; client systems access configured by the bank. - Four positions available on a rotating night-shift pattern; shift schedule confirmed at offer stage.
