Freelance Arabic Legal Drafting & Research Assistant

Nimish Padia Law & Advisory (NPLA) is seeking a skilled Freelance Legal Assistant who is fluent in Arabic and English and has experience in UAE legal drafting, legal research, and court documentation.

The selected candidate will work on a project-to-project basis, assisting with legal matters primarily involving Dubai Courts and other UAE judicial authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft legal memoranda, statements of claim, defence memoranda, appeals, replies, and other court submissions in Arabic.
• Conduct legal research on UAE laws, regulations, and relevant court judgments.
• Prepare legal notices, applications, petitions, and other legal documents in Arabic.
• Review and translate legal documents between Arabic and English while maintaining legal accuracy.
• Assist in preparing legal arguments and supporting documentation for ongoing litigation.
• Research relevant UAE court precedents and legal provisions to support case strategies.
• Assist with other legal drafting and research assignments as required.

Requirements

• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong Arabic legal drafting skills, particularly for UAE court submissions.
• Familiarity with UAE laws, court procedures, and legal terminology.
• Previous experience working with UAE law firms, legal consultants, or litigation teams is preferred.
• Ability to conduct independent legal research and prepare well-structured legal documents.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Dubai Courts, Abu Dhabi Courts, and other UAE judicial systems is an advantage.

Engagement Terms

• Freelance engagement on a project-to-project basis, with no fixed monthly commitment.
• Compensation will be agreed upon separately for each assignment based on its scope and complexity.
• Remote working arrangements are acceptable.
• Potential for regular assignments based on performance and availability.
