Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) – Freelance / Contract

Location: Serbia (Home-Based with Site Travel)

Contract: 12 Months

Commitment: Full-Time (1 FTE)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to support a clinical trials in Serbia on a 12-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical site monitoring, ensuring study quality, regulatory compliance and effective site management throughout the trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site initiation, routine monitoring and close-out visits in accordance with ICH-GCP and study protocols.
• Manage assigned clinical trial sites across Serbia, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform on-site monitoring visits per month.
• Review source documentation, verify clinical data and ensure accurate study documentation.
• Monitor patient recruitment, site performance and protocol compliance.
• Identify and escalate site-related issues, protocol deviations and potential risks.
• Maintain effective communication with investigators, site staff and study teams.
• Complete monitoring reports and follow-up documentation within agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior CRA, ideally within a freelance or contract capacity.
• Respiratory/Pulmonary or related experience is a must
• Strong experience conducting independent monitoring visits across clinical trial sites.
• Good knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical trial regulations and site management processes.
• Experience working with international sponsors or CROs.
• Based in Serbia and able to travel to clinical trial sites as required.
• Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in English.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity offering home-based working with regular travel to clinical trial sites across Serbia.
