We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic agile team in Brussels. You will work in a collaborative Scrum environment where developers, analysts, testers, and architects work closely together to deliver valuable software increments at the end of every sprint.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to development, testing, and integration. You will play an active role in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while embracing continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot
• Design and implement cloud-native microservices
• Build, test, and deploy applications in containerized environments
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, testers, and architects
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning activities
• Contribute to software quality, security, and performance improvements
• Support continuous integration and deployment practices
• Share knowledge and drive best practices within the squad

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Microservices architecture
• Cloud development
• Excellent understanding of:
• Operating systems
• Networking
• Databases
• Middleware
• Software architecture principles
• Knowledge of development standards, tools, and security practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with IBM Cloud environments
• ElasticSearch
• Integration with distributed systems and/or mainframe platforms
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments

Working Model

• Location: Brussels
• Hybrid setup: 50% onsite / 50% remote

Contract

• Long-term assignment until June 2027
