Job Description A leading global communications and public relations agency is building a talent pool of experienced freelance Media Relations Specialists to support client campaigns and communication requirements. Key responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with journalists and relevant media contacts Prepare media releases, pitches, briefing documents and other media materials Identify suitable media opportunities and compelling story angles Coordinate interviews, media briefings and press engagements Manage media enquiries and support reputation-management initiatives Monitor media coverage and prepare reports Agency or multi-client experience is advantageous Availability to work on a hybrid basis in Dunkeld, Johannesburg Requirements Relevant media relations, PR or corporate communications experience An established network of South African media contacts Strong writing, pitching and relationship-management skills Excellent knowledge of the South African media landscape Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Agency or multi-client experience is advantageous Availability to work on a hybrid basis in Dunkeld, Johannesburg
