Freelance Mobile App User Acquisition Specialist (Meta, iOS)

Is this job info correct?

Join Kinis.ai — Freelance Mobile App User Acquisition Specialist (Meta, iOS)

Help more adults feel steady, capable, and confident in how they move. We’re looking for a thoughtful, hands-on mobile growth partner to help us learn how to reach the right people—and turn that learning into a responsible path for growth.

Who we are

Kinis.ai is building an AI-powered Movement Health platform for adults 50+.

We believe balance is more than a test result. It shapes how confidently someone walks, exercises, travels, plays with family, and participates in everyday life. Our iOS app helps people better understand their movement through guided assessments and turns those insights into practical, personalized next steps.

We’re an early-stage team working at the intersection of movement science, technology, and human-centered design. We care about evidence, clarity, and creating an experience that treats people as people—not as clicks or conversion events.

Why we’re looking for a partner now

Our initial audience, pricing, and three core message directions are defined. We’re ready to run a focused 30-day Meta Ads experiment and learn:

  • Which message resonates most strongly with the people we want to serve
  • Whether we can attract people who are genuinely interested—not just inexpensive installs
  • Where people continue or drop off between ad, install, assessment, and subscription
  • What we should improve before investing in a larger acquisition campaign

This is intentionally a learning sprint, not a request to “scale at all costs.” We want someone who combines performance discipline with curiosity and good judgment.

The project

Role: Freelance Mobile App User Acquisition Specialist — Meta Ads, iOS

Engagement: 30 days

Location: Remote

Media budget: US$2,000

Target freelance fee: US$500–$750, depending on experience and agreed scope

Audience: Adults 50+

Campaign market: United States, Canada.

What you’ll own
  • Review campaign readiness, including Meta account access, app events, and attribution setup
  • Build and launch a focused Meta/Facebook/Instagram app-acquisition experiment
  • Turn three approved message directions into a clear, testable campaign structure
  • Monitor the journey from ad → install → assessment → subscription
  • Track and interpret CPI, cost per completed assessment, conversion rates, CAC, and available revenue signals
  • Make practical budget decisions without over-fragmenting a small test
  • Share a concise weekly update: what happened, what it may mean, and what we should do next
  • Deliver a final report with findings, limitations, and a recommendation for the next experiment
  • Leave the account organized and document what was changed so the team can continue learning

What a good outcome looks like

A successful project does not require a perfect ROAS number after 30 days. It gives us trustworthy answers.

By the end of the engagement, we want to know:

  1. Which message and creative direction attracted the most qualified response?
  2. What did it cost to generate installs and completed assessments?
  3. Where was the largest drop in the subscription journey?
  4. Is the current funnel ready for a larger acquisition test?
  5. What should we keep, stop, improve, or test next?

You may be a strong fit if you have
  • Hands-on experience running Meta app-promotion or mobile user-acquisition campaigns
  • We currently use PostHog to track the in-app journey, including assessment and subscription events. You should be comfortable working with PostHog or a similar product analytics platform and understand Meta’s iOS app-event and attribution setup. Experience with SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit or mobile attribution tools such as AppsFlyer or Adjust is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience connecting ad performance to meaningful post-install events
  • An understanding of subscription, trial, paywall, CAC, retention, and revenue funnels
  • Experience making good decisions with small experimental budgets
  • A clear approach to creative and message testing
  • The ability to explain performance in straightforward language—not only send screenshots from Ads Manager
  • Strong written English and reliable remote communication

Experience with health, fitness, wellness, active aging, or US consumer audiences is helpful, but thoughtful mobile-acquisition experience matters most.

This probably isn’t the right project if
  • Your work is mainly organic social media, posting, community engagement, or follower growth
  • You measure success primarily through impressions, clicks, or engagement
  • You need a large budget before you can form or test a clear hypothesis
  • You promise guaranteed CAC or ROAS before reviewing the product and measurement setup

What we’ll provide
  • The product context, audience, pricing, and current funnel
  • Three approved message directions
  • Access to relevant Meta, analytics, and subscription data
  • Existing creative assets and clear agreement on any additional production needed
  • A direct point of contact for quick decisions
  • Support from product or development when tracking questions arise

How we’ll work together

We value honesty over polished reporting. If the tracking is incomplete, the sample is too small, or the funnel—not the ads—is the main constraint, we want you to say so.

We expect:

  • A short kickoff and readiness review
  • A written test plan before launch
  • Brief weekly updates
  • Clear documentation of decisions and changes
  • A final learning review and next-step recommendation

How to apply

Please send your information and portfolio to [email protected].

Please include:

  • A short introduction and why this project interests you
  • One or two relevant mobile-app or Meta campaign examples
  • The business outcome you were responsible for—not only campaign metrics
  • Your experience with iOS attribution and post-install event tracking
  • Your proposed fixed fee and what it includes
  • Your availability during the 30-day engagement

Please remove or anonymize confidential client information.

One practical questionYou have US$2,000 for a 30-day Meta acquisition experiment for an iOS subscription app. How would you use the first US$600 to learn quickly? What evidence would determine how you spend—or do not spend—the remaining US$1,400?

We’re not looking for one “correct” allocation. We want to understand how you form hypotheses, protect a small budget, interpret imperfect iOS data, and decide when evidence is strong enough to continue.

Our promise to applicants
  • We’ll review applications for relevance, not presentation polish. A concise application with clear thinking is welcome. We’ll share the scope before asking for work, won’t request unpaid campaign plans, and will respect the time and experience behind every application.
