About Us
Who We Are
Left Field Labs is the creative technology agency that makes what’s next, real. Since 2008, we’ve designed, built, and shipped work for the world’s most ambitious brands, including Google, Salesforce, Amazon, Meta and Qualcomm. We are designers, engineers and strategists working side by side on technology most people are still reading about, and we get to build it and see it out in the world. That obsession with making things real has earned us spots on Built In LA’s Best Places to Work and Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators.
What We Do
We deliver three outcomes under one roof, with strategy, design and engineering working side by side.
Growth: We create campaigns, products, and experiences that turn a brand’s vision into measurable results for marketing and brand leaders.
Scale: We build platforms, products and AI systems that integrate seamlessly and perform in the real world, for technology and product leaders who measure success in uptime, performance and adoption.
Experience: We stage live, immersive, and physical moments that let people can see and touch, building belief and trust through everything from global conference activations to interactive installations.
Overview
Who We Are Seeking
Left Field Labs is expanding our bench of senior freelance talent across creative technology, technical direction, and experiential production. We’re looking for battle-tested specialists who have delivered complex interactive installations, spatial computing, and physical-digital environments at scale—and who thrive stepping into active client pipelines.
At Left Field Labs, we design and build category-defining spatial and digital environments. Our work spans multi-year enterprise briefing centers, interactive trade show activations, custom physical fabrication, and real-time software systems for our partners.
We value non-linear career paths and experience gained across live events, theater, film, museums, architecture, and agency work. What matters is that you've personally led experiential projects through install and show. If that's you and you don't match every bullet, we still want to hear from you.
This position is remote with frequent travel to client sites, fabrication shops, and show floors (e.g., 25–40%).
Responsibilities
Producer
The Producer leads the day-to-day execution of integrated interactive installations and standalone trade show environments. You will bridge the physical and digital worlds, coordinating scenic fabricators, AV integrators, creative technologists, and software developers to deliver polished experiences on time and within budget.
What You’ll Do
Own experiential projects from kickoff through post-event wrap, taking ownership of scope, timelines, deliverables, and margins
Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning creative technologists, Unity/Unreal developers, 3D animators, and scenic builders.
Source and manage external vendors, fabricators, and technical partners; establish clear scopes of work and hold partners accountable to milestones.
Serve as a primary client contact, leading regular status touchpoints, managing feedback loops, and clearly documenting scope adjustments.
Lead onsite load-ins, technical rehearsals, live show operations, and strikes, maintaining composure and steady decision-making under fast-paced event conditions, including working within union jurisdictions and venue/show rules, and owning onsite safety and contingency planning.
What You Bring
2–3+ years of production coordination experience, including onsite support for at least one live event, trade show, or installation from load-in through strike
Direct experience leading experiential, interactive, or multi-disciplinary creative projects from concept through installation.
Comfort interfacing with technical and physical disciplines—understanding how scenic build schedules intersect with software development sprints and AV integration.
Experience managing project budgets up with an eye toward protecting profitability and managing client scope creep constructively.
A collaborative, adaptable mindset and strong client-facing communication skills.

Oversee fabrication partners and technical vendors, establishing quality control standards, review gates, and shop-visit cadences.
Serve as the trusted day-to-day partner for senior client stakeholders, translating complex technical and logistical realities into clear business decisions.
Help evaluate and onboard freelance talent, supporting our contract-to-hire pipeline and scaling production best practices across the studio.
What You Bring

Deep practical knowledge of physical scenic fabrication, architectural dependencies, enterprise AV systems, and real-time interactive engines (Unity, Unreal, WebGL).
Proven success managing multi-stakeholder enterprise client relationships through ambiguous or evolving project requirements.
Strong leadership baseline: experience guiding, mentoring, and empowering team members while keeping delivery standards high.
A solution-oriented mindset that balances ambitious creative visions with realistic operational planning.
