Show job description
We are looking for a Freelance QA/QC & Installation Support professional for a 3-month contract to support field-based quality assurance and quality control for post-production visibility and signage installations across Indonesia.

The role will involve visiting outlets, project sites, warehouses, and installation locations to check that signage, lightboxes, decals, displays, and other visibility materials are installed correctly, safely, and according to approved artwork, specifications, and client requirements.

The Freelancer will work closely with the Operations, Account Management, Production, suppliers, installers, and subcontractors. The role also includes maintaining photo documentation, installation reports, trackers, issue logs, and follow-up actions.

This is a hands-on, mobile, and field-based role suited to someone who is detail-oriented, organised, reliable, and comfortable travelling between project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site QA/QC checks for completed or ongoing signage, visibility, and installation projects.

  • Verify installations against approved artwork, mock-ups, specifications, dimensions, and location plans.

  • Check that signage and visibility materials are installed in the correct location, position, orientation, height, and condition.

  • Inspect workmanship and finishing, including alignment, mounting, cleanliness, print quality, colour consistency, scratches, damage, lighting, and overall presentation.

  • Identify defects, deviations, incomplete work, or incorrect installations and escalate them promptly.

  • Take clear before, during, and after installation photographs for documentation and reporting.

  • Coordinate with installers and suppliers on minor corrective actions and follow up on rectification work.

  • Support final installation sign-off by confirming completed work and outstanding issues.

  • Maintain QA/QC checklists, installation trackers, punch lists, photo logs, defect reports, and rectification records.

  • Update project status and provide concise field reports on completed work, issues identified, actions required, and follow-up status.

  • Support basic project administration, including organising files, consolidating site information, and updating trackers.

  • Assist with installation coordination, including checking site readiness, installer attendance, completion status, and access issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, field operations, signage installation, retail visibility, POSM, print, fabrication, construction finishing, merchandising, or a similar field-based role.

  • Practical knowledge of signage, decals, lightboxes, displays, printed materials, fixtures, or retail visibility installations is an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to compare completed work against approved artwork, specifications, mock-ups, and location plans.

  • Ability to identify issues such as incorrect positioning, poor alignment, damaged materials, poor finishing, colour inconsistencies, or incomplete installation.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain trackers, photo records, issue logs, and completion reports accurately.

  • Comfortable working independently in the field and travelling between different project locations.

  • Strong communication skills when dealing with installers, suppliers, internal teams, and client representatives.

  • Able to take clear and useful site photographs for QA/QC documentation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and mobile communication/photo-sharing applications.

  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with the ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Must have a smartphone with a good camera for field documentation and reporting.

  • Access to personal transport or the ability to travel independently to project locations is strongly preferred.

  • Flexible to work based on project requirements, including possible short-notice travel, early-morning/evening checks, weekends, or outstation assignments.
