Freelance Video Editor & Motion Designer - Full Remote

Job Description About the Role We are looking for an experienced Freelance Video Editor & Motion Designer to create, edit and adapt video content for our clients, primarily SMEs and small businesses . The role covers a wide range of formats, including social media content, advertising creatives, corporate videos, interviews, customer testimonials, explainer videos and motion design . We are looking for someone who can transform raw footage, briefs or concepts into dynamic, professional and platform-optimized video content , with a strong focus on storytelling, pacing and performance. Your Responsibilities Video Editing & Post-Production Edit videos from raw footage, scripts or creative briefs. Structure content to create clear and engaging storytelling. Handle footage selection, cutting, editing and color correction. Work on pacing, transitions and overall visual presentation. Integrate music, sound effects, voice-overs and other audio elements. Perform the necessary corrections and finishing work to deliver professional-quality content. Social Media & Short-Form Content Create content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and Facebook . Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form assets. Create dynamic formats designed to capture attention within the first few seconds. Add subtitles, animations, visual hooks and calls to action. Adapt videos to the formats, durations and creative codes of each platform. Advertising & Performance Creatives Produce video creatives for Meta Ads, Google Ads and other digital advertising platforms . Create multiple creative variations from the same source content. Collaborate with Paid Media specialists to produce assets aligned with acquisition objectives. Test different hooks, pacing, messages and formats. Adapt creatives based on campaign performance and insights. Motion Design & Animation Create graphic animations and motion design content. Animate logos, text, icons, illustrations and brand elements. Produce explainer videos and animations to clearly present products or services. Integrate branding elements and follow each client's visual identity guidelines. Create reusable video templates when relevant. Corporate & Marketing Content Edit interviews, customer testimonials and corporate videos. Produce company, product and service presentation videos. Create video content for websites, presentations, events and marketing campaigns. Adapt key content into multiple versions for different distribution channels. AI & Creative Innovation Use AI tools when relevant to accelerate production workflows and enhance the creative process. Explore emerging AI-powered video generation and editing tools. Stay up to date with trends in video production, social media and motion design. Proactively suggest new formats, concepts and creative approaches for clients. Candidate Profile Experience: Solid and demonstrable experience in video editing and/or motion design, ideally within an agency environment or working with multiple clients. Video Editing: Excellent command of editing, storytelling, pacing and post-production. Software: Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus. Motion Design: Strong understanding of text, shape, logo and graphic element animation. Social Media: Excellent understanding of the formats and creative codes of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and Facebook. Advertising: Good understanding of video creation principles for digital advertising and performance marketing campaigns. Audio: Ability to work with voice-overs, music and sound effects to deliver professional-quality content. Branding: Ability to follow and adapt brand identities across video productions. AI Tools: Good understanding of emerging AI tools for video creation and editing. Organization: Excellent ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Personal Skills: Creative, autonomous, rigorous, detail-oriented and comfortable collaborating with other specialists. Portfolio: A strong showreel or portfolio showcasing different types of video and motion design projects is required.
