Full-Time, 6-Month Fixed Engagement

Kapetan is a specialist maritime marketing agency based in Athens, working with shipping companies, shipbrokers, bunkering firms, and maritime suppliers.

We are looking for a freelance website developer to join the team full time for a fixed 6-month engagement with potential to extend, starting 1 September 2026.

What you will do

• Build and launch complete websites: B2B corporate sites and consumer-facing sites in the beauty and aesthetics space
• Own each project end to end from approved brief to live site: development, responsive behavior, performance, launch, and post-launch fixes
• Structure every site with correct SEO and GEO hierarchy: headings, metadata, internal architecture, and content structure built for both search engines and AI-driven discovery
• Work inside the team's workflow: briefs, deadlines, and feedback rounds with our marketing and design team

Technical requirements (mandatory)

• Expert-level WordPress: custom theme development or deep customization of premium themes, Elementor or equivalent builders used with minimal div bloat, child themes, hooks and filters, ACF
• Proven experience building production-ready sites with AI tools (Claude or equivalent)
• Performance as a discipline: strong Core Web Vitals, image optimization, caching, and clean, fast-loading code
• Solid grasp of UI/UX principles and a strong design eye: spacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and consistency across breakpoints
• Technical SEO and GEO structure: semantic HTML, heading hierarchy, metadata, schema markup where relevant, and clean URL architecture
• Flawless delivery as standard: responsive, cross-browser builds with zero layout breakage on mobile

Profile requirements (mandatory)

• Portfolio including at least two B2B corporate projects and two consumer projects
• Fluent English
• Fast, agile delivery and clear, responsive communication
• Available to start 1 September 2026
