About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven Freight Broker – Hunter to help develop new business and build valuable relationships within the US transportation market.
This role is designed for someone with experience in US trucking, freight, logistics, or sales who has strong commercial potential and wants to develop into a fully autonomous freight broker.
You’ll begin by applying established prospecting and sales strategies while building your knowledge of the freight brokerage process. Over time, you’ll progressively take ownership of the full brokerage cycle — from customer prospecting and rate negotiation to carrier coordination, shipment execution, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively prospect for new customers using strategies and guidance provided by experienced broker trainers.
- Conduct cold calls and follow up with prospective customers to develop new business opportunities.
- Build and progressively grow a portfolio of customers, with a focus on long-term retention.
- Negotiate rates with carriers while maintaining established profit margins.
- Identify and coordinate appropriate carriers for customer shipments.
- Coordinate freight movements and keep customers informed throughout the shipment process.
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end freight brokerage process.
- Learn and apply commercial, operational, and negotiation best practices.
- Progressively develop the skills and independence required to become an autonomous Freight Broker.
- Maintain accurate follow-up and documentation throughout the sales and shipment lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and resolve customer, carrier, and operational issues.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation or logistics, preferably in a role such as:
- Carrier Sales
- US Truck Dispatcher
- Logistics Sales

- B2B Sales within transportation
- Account Executive within a US trucking or 3PL environment
- Another role with strong operational exposure to the transportation industry

- Knowledge of working with US carriers and/or shippers.
- Strong commercial and sales orientation.
- Experience with cold calling, prospecting, negotiation, and follow-up.
- Ability to develop and manage customer and/or carrier relationships.
- B2+ English proficiency, with strong spoken English for calls, negotiations, and customer management.
- Availability to work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. US Eastern Time.
- Stable internet connection and an appropriate home-working environment.
- Availability to work remotely on a long-term basis.
Alternative Sales Backgrounds

- B2B sales
- Business development
- Cold calling and prospecting
- Opening and developing new business opportunities
- Negotiation
- Customer relationship management
- Experience selling into or working with the US market in English
For candidates coming from outside freight, strong commercial ability should be combined with the willingness and capacity to quickly develop knowledge of the US freight industry.
Hunter / Commercial Profile
This is a hunter-focused role. Candidates do not necessarily need to have already worked as fully autonomous Freight Brokers.
Strong candidates may come from adjacent positions such as Carrier Sales, US Truck Dispatcher, Logistics Sales, Freight Sales, B2B Transportation Sales, or Account Executive roles within US trucking or 3PL environments.
The key is a combination of:
- Basic knowledge of US freight and transportation.
- Strong commercial mentality.
- Confidence with prospecting and cold calling.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Motivation to develop new business.

- Demonstrable gross-profit or revenue performance
Experience with different systems is acceptable.
Education
A degree in International Business, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is desirable but not required.

- Fully remote, long-term position.
- Working hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. US Eastern Time.
- Stable internet connection required.
- Candidates must have an appropriate home-working environment.
- All working communication will be conducted in English.

Growth Opportunity
This role provides a clear progression path:
Hunter / Commercial Profile → Developing Freight Broker → Autonomous Freight Broker
You’ll progressively build expertise across customer acquisition, carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, shipment coordination, customer management, and the broader freight brokerage lifecycle.
The goal is to develop into a broker who can independently manage the complete process while building and retaining a strong book of business.
