Remote French Medical Interpreter (OPI/VRI)

Future Group Translation and Localization Services is looking for experienced French Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreters (VRI) to join our growing global team.

As a remote interpreter, you will facilitate accurate and confidential communication between English-speaking and French-speaking individuals across a variety of industries, with a primary focus on medical interpretation. You will ensure clear, culturally appropriate, and professional communication during every interaction.

Language & Professional Qualifications

• Fluent in English and a native French speaker.
  

• At least 1 year of Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) experience with a reputable interpretation company.
  

• Good knowledge of medical terminology.
  

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.
  

• Healthcare interpretation certifications such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, or similar are a plus.
  

• High school diploma in your native language.
  

• Excellent communication, active listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
  

• High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness.
  

Technical Requirements

Since this is a fully remote position, applicants must meet the following technical requirements:

Internet

• Dedicated, secure, high-speed internet connection.
  

• Minimum 10 Mbps download.
  

• Minimum 3 Mbps upload.
  

• Wired Ethernet connection is mandatory (Wi-Fi is not permitted).
  

Computer Requirements

• Windows 10 or later.
  

• Intel Core i5 (or higher) dual-core processor with at least 2 GHz.
  

• Minimum 8 GB RAM.
  

• Computer must operate in High Performance mode.
  

• Power adapter must remain connected during work.
  

• MacBooks and Chromebooks are not supported.
  

Equipment

• Desktop or laptop computer only (mobile phones and tablets are not permitted).
  

• External monitor(s), if applicable.
  

• Wired USB noise-cancelling headset with a built-in microphone.
  

• Wireless, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm headsets are not permitted.
