Job Purpose:
- The Front End Manager at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front-end department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient cashier and courtesy clerk performance. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage scheduling, training, and inventory control while fostering a positive and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Schedule and monitor the performance of cashiers and courtesy clerks to ensure efficient service.
- Train front-end staff in customer service techniques, cash handling, and store policies.
- Control inventory of front-end supplies to ensure availability and manage costs.
- Ensure proper bagging techniques are used to protect customer purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-end area through a comprehensive housekeeping program.
- Demonstrate great communication and listening skills to effectively interact with customers and staff.
- Exhibit attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Minimum high school diploma
- Some college coursework or Associate’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field

Required Experience:
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Preferred Experience:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions
