Frontend Developer

Maxana is hiring a Frontend Developer on behalf of a fast-growing digital health platform in the U.S. You'll join their product engineering team as a full-time contractor, building the user-facing experiences that help members manage their health journey. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Latin America, working U.S.-overlapping hours. What you'll do: - Build and maintain responsive, high-quality web interfaces for a consumer health platform - Translate designs and product requirements into clean, performant, accessible UI - Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers in an agile environment - Write reusable components and contribute to the team's shared component library - Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering bar - Debug, profile, and optimize frontend performance across devices and browsers - 3+ years of professional frontend development experience - Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript - Solid command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles - Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs - Familiarity with modern build tooling and Git-based workflows - Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment - Strong written and spoken English (daily collaboration with a U.S.-based team) - Based in Latin America with reliable ability to work U.S.-overlapping hours Nice to have: - Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks - Experience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated consumer products - Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) - Experience with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG) - $2,200 – $2,800 USD/month, paid reliably in USD - Fully remote, long-term contract engagement - Direct integration with a U.S. product team shipping quickly - Support from Maxana throughout your engagement
