Frontend Developer (TypeScript)
Location: Belval, Luxembourg
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Scorechain
Scorechain builds blockchain analytics and compliance software.
Banks, crypto exchanges and large enterprises use our platform to trace crypto funds and spot illicit activity. They check addresses and transactions, follow fund flows across blockchains, run risk alerts and investigate cases together in real time. When a compliance officer decides whether to block a transaction, they're often looking at a screen our frontend team built.
Why this role is interesting
This isn't a forms-and-tables job. You'll work on:
- Interactive graph visualization: fund flows with many nodes and edges. Users need to explore, filter and understand them quickly (React Flow, d3.js).
- Complex, data-heavy interfaces for expert users, where clarity and performance matter more than decoration.
- Real-time collaboration on investigation cases.
- LLM-powered features: we're exploring where generative AI fits into compliance workflows, and you'll help shape that.
You'll join a small team of product managers, backend engineers and infrastructure specialists.
You'll own the frontend architecture and much of the UX of the product, so your decisions will ship and you'll see the results.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain our main application in React and TypeScript (react-query, react-router, MUI).
- Design reusable components and a consistent UI system.
- Turn product needs into clear interfaces. Sometimes that means working from a Figma file, sometimes proposing the design yourself.
- Profile and improve performance on large datasets and heavy visualizations.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of professional frontend experience with React and TypeScript in production.
- A portfolio, live product or public code that shows both engineering quality and design sense. Applications without one won't be considered.
- Fluent professional English. It's our working language.
- Location: based in LU, FR, BE or DE, or in Europe and ready to relocate, and able to come to Belval regularly.
- The right to work in the EU.
- Strong UX judgment: you can explain why an interface works, not only build it.
Nice-to-haves
- Data visualization experience (React Flow, d3.js, or similar).
- MUI, Figma.
- Testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- GitLab CI, Docker, Linux basics.
- French.
- Interest in fintech, compliance or crypto. You don't need to be a crypto enthusiast but it's a plus.
What we offer
- Hybrid work within cross-border telework rules.
- Real ownership of a product used by regulated institutions.
- A small, international team, a modern stack, and little bureaucracy.
Hiring process (about 2–3 weeks)
1. CTO (60 min): your experience, how you solve problems, the tech you enjoy.
2. Lead Software Engineer and product manager (1 hour): walk us through a project or code you're proud of.
