Frontend Developer FinTech About the role: We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join a team responsible for building and maintaining a large-scale, React-based component library used as the shared design system and UI foundation across the firm. You will work on production-grade UI components, developer tooling and accessibility, while helping introduce and scale AI-driven engineering workflows across the component library. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain reusable React UI components. Develop and evolve a large-scale component library/design system. Diagnose and resolve issues across components, theming/styling and build tooling. Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests. Ensure components meet accessibility standards, including WCAG. Collaborate closely with Product Design, UX , and Platform Engineering teams. Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code as part of the daily development workflow. Design and ship UI-focused AI agent skills and workflows. Evaluate and improve AI-agent prompts, skills, guardrails, and developer workflows. Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and architectural improvements. Technology: Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript Frontend: React, Angular Styling: CSS-in-JS, Sass Build / Monorepo: Bazel Testing: React Testing Library, Cypress AI tooling: Claude Code and similar agentic coding tools Must Have: Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript . Experience building reusable UI components, component libraries or design systems . Experience working in a large or complex frontend codebase. Good understanding of modern CSS/styling architectures, ideally CSS-in-JS. Practical knowledge of web accessibility / WCAG . Experience with automated frontend testing, ideally React Testing Library and/or Cypress. Comfortable working with developer tooling, build systems, or monorepos. Experience using AI coding agents / agentic development tools , such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar. Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative engineering/design environment. Nice to Have: Experience with Bazel . Angular experience, particularly maintaining legacy applications. Experience contributing to an established enterprise design system. Experience designing AI-agent skills, prompts, or guardrails. Experience with monorepo architecture.
