Frontend Developer (Volunteer - Unpaid)

Job Description This is a remote position. This is not a paid opportunity (Volunteer Opportunity: 30 hrs / week) Job Title: Frontend Developer Location: Remote Employment Type: Temporary Volunteer Work Authorization: All except H1B transfers About the Role: We are seeking a Frontend Developer to build engaging and responsive user interfaces for the firm. This temporary volunteer role provides practical experience working on modern web applications alongside experienced professionals Key Responsibilities: Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to implement seamless and efficient solutions. Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility. Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues across multiple browsers and devices. Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration workflows. Maintain and update existing frontend applications, ensuring consistent design and functionality. Stay updated on the latest frontend technologies, tools, and best practices. Contribute to documentation of frontend architecture, components, and workflows. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of frontend development experience. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js). Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services. Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile development methodologies. Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization techniques. Basic knowledge of backend integration (Node.js / Express). Experience with advanced state management (Redux, Zustand, or Context API) Understanding of npm, yarn, and frontend build tools Exposure to CI/CD and deployment tools (Vercel, Netlify, AWS Amplify) Knowledge of GraphQL and WebSocket integration Writing unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library).
