Everyone’s story matters. At Riverty, you can help shape your own while contributing to a more human-centered financial experience for people and businesses.
About The Company
Riverty is an international fintech company and part of the family-owned Bertelsmann Group. Across 11 countries, our community of more than 4,000 people representing nearly 80 nationalities brings together empathy, advanced technology, and data-driven insights to keep people and businesses moving forward. We provide flexible payment solutions that simplify financial management for established brands and help people repay debt with greater confidence.
Our teams work across 30 hybrid workspaces designed to encourage collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas. In a fast-moving industry, we combine the stability of an established group with the opportunity to shape new products, teams, and ways of working.
About The Role
Riverty is looking for a Frontend Engineer (Angular) to join our product and technology organization in Berlin. This is a full-time position with an unlimited contract, and hybrid working conditions are available.
You will work closely with design, product, and backend colleagues to create useful, reliable experiences for customers and merchants. As part of a growing organization, you will contribute to the development of new products and help shape the practices and tools that support our frontend teams. Your work will help build the next generation of fintech experiences, with a focus on people, quality, and sustainability.
Qualifications
You bring at least four years of professional frontend development experience and strong practical skills in Angular and TypeScript. You have built scalable, responsive web applications and reusable user-interface components, and understand Angular architecture, component-based development, and reactive programming.
You are comfortable connecting frontend applications to backend APIs and applying testing, debugging, and code-quality practices. You understand the importance of performance, accessibility, maintainability, robustness, and cross-browser compatibility. You communicate effectively, take ownership of your work, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across disciplines and locations.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is valued. You should be able to assess their output thoughtfully and verify generated code through appropriate review and testing. Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage. Applicants must hold EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Germany.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ambitious web applications as part of a cross-functional product team working across European locations. Collaborate with design, product, and backend colleagues to deliver clear and engaging experiences for customers and merchants.
Contribute to the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of a company-wide platform for interface design and frontend development. Participate in regular Scrum ceremonies, share progress, and work with your team to plan and deliver product improvements.
Keep up with relevant developments in web technology and apply them where they can strengthen product quality. Take initiative to improve frontend accessibility, performance, consistency, maintainability, and resilience. Help establish thoughtful engineering practices that support reusable components and dependable applications.
Benefits
Join an international fintech organization backed by the stability of the Bertelsmann Group, while contributing to products in a fast-changing industry. Work in a hybrid environment with access to Riverty’s collaborative workspaces, and learn alongside colleagues from a broad range of professional and cultural backgrounds.
As part of a growing product and technology organization, you will have the opportunity to influence how teams work and help shape new products. The role offers a full-time, unlimited contract in Berlin and the chance to build financial experiences designed around people’s needs.
Equal Opportunity
Riverty welcomes applicants from different backgrounds and values the perspectives that an international, diverse team brings. We are committed to a respectful and inclusive recruitment process and encourage qualified candidates to apply. Employment-related personal data will be processed by the hiring company in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
