Frontend Engineer

Location: Remote / Americas Preferred Compensation: $100k — $160k USD base, 0.3–0.6% equity Overview Tristero's mission is to increase individual sovereignty. We’re building a Binance-grade exchange platform entirely on-chain with total privacy, powered by cutting-edge cryptography. Our early focus is blockchain interoperability — already delivering industry-leading pricing and settlement times. We’re looking for a Front-End Engineer to help make our web-based Dapp fast, stable, and seamless for traders. You’ll work closely with a lead engineer, a designer, and other front-end devs to deliver high-performance trading interfaces across multiple blockchain networks. This role is hands-on, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning, state management, and smooth cross-chain UX. Key Responsibilities High-Performance Trading Interfaces Implement and optimize responsive trading UIs that handle sub-second quote updates across multiple blockchains. Integrate with our quote engine to support real-time order tracking via WebSockets, ensuring a smooth, centralized-exchange-grade feel in a decentralized setting. Work on advanced order routing and fallback logic to maintain stability under varying network conditions. Multi-Chain State Management Contribute to our Zustand-based architecture that manages complex trading flows across EVM, Bitcoin UTXO, Solana, and Tron. Identify and reduce performance bottlenecks in memoization and state synchronization layers. Help ensure consistent UX across drastically different blockchain paradigms. Transaction Handling & Reliability Implement and refine cross-chain transaction features, including retry logic, circuit breakers, and failover handling. Enhance user feedback and error states to ensure clarity during network instability or quote unavailability. Scalable Component Development Build modular, reusable trading components that adapt to different wallet types and blockchain environments. Optimize React render cycles to handle frequent price updates without UI lag. Collaborate on building robust error-handling patterns tailored for multi-chain environments. Qualifications 3–5 years experience in front-end or full-stack development. Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with performance optimization in data-intensive UIs. Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and WebSocket integrations. Excellent collaboration skills — comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team. Interest in blockchain technology (hands-on crypto/Web3 experience a plus). Nice-to-Have Experience contributing to blockchain or open-source projects. Familiarity with DeFi, trading platforms, or multi-chain Dapp development.
