Frontend Technical Lead

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Frontend Technical Lead to help shape the next generation of our sports betting platform.

You will join an existing team of six frontend developers and drive frontend architecture, technical decisions, and engineering standards across the company, where more than 12 developers work on frontend development.

A central part of the role is leading a platform rewrite and a gradual transition to micro frontends while the existing system remains live in production. You will balance long-term architectural improvements with ongoing delivery and practical solutions to urgent production issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture and make technical decisions that support both immediate product needs and long-term development.

• Write code hands-on and lead the implementation of complex features.

• Drive the platform rewrite and incremental migration to micro frontends while maintaining production continuity.

• Define and promote frontend development standards across the company.

• Review code, mentor developers, and help the team strengthen its technical capabilities.

• Build responsive, mobile-friendly interfaces and real-time experiences using APIs and WebSockets.

• Address performance, scalability, and architectural challenges in a live sports betting platform.

• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely solutions under pressure, with occasional availability outside working hours for urgent incidents.

• Proactively identify technical problems and improvement opportunities, take ownership, and drive work through to completion.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional frontend development experience.

• Strong practical expertise in React, TypeScript, and Next.js.

• Strong frontend architecture skills and the ability to make independent, well-reasoned technical decisions.

• Experience building and maintaining complex applications in production.

• Experience with real-time applications, WebSockets, and API integrations.

• Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile web experiences, and frontend performance.

• Ability to guide developers, provide constructive code reviews, and raise engineering standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act effectively under pressure.

• A proactive approach: you identify what needs to be done, take initiative, and drive progress.

• Fluent English for day-to-day communication and technical discussions.

• Based locally and available to work from our office in Tirana.

Significant Advantages

• Experience with micro frontend architectures.
