Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Full-Cycle Account Executive to grow our flatbed and open-deck freight portfolio by developing profitable, long-term customer partnerships. This is a true business development role for a proven logistics sales professional who can identify high-value opportunities, secure quality freight, and build lasting customer relationships. Our goal is not simply to add accounts—it is to strategically partner with customers who offer consistent freight volume, sustainable margins, and meaningful long-term growth.
You will own the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through qualification, pricing, account development, and ongoing relationship management. During the initial growth stage, you will also secure capacity, book trucks, and oversee shipments from pickup through delivery.

Location and Work Arrangement
This position will begin remotely, with plans to transition to a hybrid schedule when the Chattanooga-area office opens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new business through strategic prospecting, market research, cold calling, referrals, networking, and relationship building.
- Identify and pursue shippers that align with Beemac Trucking’s target markets, service capabilities, margin expectations, and long-term growth strategy.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, discovery, qualification, pricing, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
- Maintain accurate prospect, customer, activity, and pipeline information in the company’s CRM.
- Prepare competitive, profitable freight quotes based on market conditions, capacity, customer requirements, and service expectations.
- Secure capacity, book trucks, and manage shipments from pickup through delivery during the initial development of the account.
- Build trusted customer relationships through responsive communication, reliable execution, and proactive problem-solving.
- Monitor account performance, freight volume, service quality, and profitability to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations, capacity, pricing, and leadership to deliver dependable transportation solutions.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of three years of successful logistics sales or business-development experience, with a strong focus on flatbed, step-deck, specialized, or other open-deck freight.
- Demonstrated success developing profitable, sustainable customer accounts and growing a book of business.
- Experience independently managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close and ongoing account development and management.
- Experience quoting freight, sourcing capacity, booking trucks, and managing shipments from origin through delivery.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and customer relationship management platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong business-development, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Thorough understanding of flatbed and open-deck freight markets, equipment, pricing, and capacity.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable, with the ability to manage an independent pipeline in a remote environment.
- Commercially focused, with sound judgment regarding freight quality, pricing, margin, and long-term account value.
- Relationship-first approach centered on responsiveness, integrity, and dependable service.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, shipments, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Position Type and Work Hours
This is a full-time, exempt position. Standard business hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional availability may be required based on customer needs, shipment activity, and the demands of the employee’s book of business.
Travel
Approximately 10% travel may be required for customer meetings, industry events, company meetings, field visits, or other business-related needs.
