Position: Full Stack Developer (Java & Angular) Location: Porto (Hybrid) Job Summary We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a strategic application development team within a Risk IT environment, contributing to the evolution of a business-critical platform used to support risk management activities. This role combines modern backend development with a strong focus on frontend engineering. You'll work on the evolution of a large-scale enterprise application, collaborating closely with developers, business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver robust, scalable and user-focused solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-quality software, enjoys working across the full technology stack and has a particular interest in creating intuitive and performant front-end experiences while maintaining strong backend development capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and Angular; Contribute to the evolution of business-critical applications within a Risk IT ecosystem; Develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring technologies; Build and enhance responsive user interfaces with Angular; Collaborate with business analysts, architects and fellow developers to define technical solutions; Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews and adherence to development standards; Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimations; Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and tools; Write and maintain technical documentation when required; Support deployment and release activities across different environments. Requirements 6+ years of experience in full-stack software development; Strong development experience with Java; Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns; Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, particularly Spring Core and Spring Boot; Strong Angular experience, including Angular 17+ or recent Angular versions; Proven experience developing modern web applications and user interfaces; Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including Clean Architecture and Test-Driven Development (TDD); Experience working with RESTful services and distributed applications; Knowledge of SQL and relational databases; Experience working in Agile development environments; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Professional proficiency in English. Technical Environment You'll likely work with technologies such as: Java Spring Core Spring Boot Angular 17+ TypeScript SQL Git Maven Jenkins XL Deploy XL Release CI/CD Pipelines Agile Frameworks Nice to Have Experience within Risk Management, Financial Services or Banking environments; Knowledge of microservices architectures; Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices; Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation; Experience with application performance optimization; Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud environments; Knowledge of secure application development principles; French language skills.
