Full Stack Developer (Next.js + Node.js)

About The Role

We're hiring a Full Stack Developer to join STACKONN’s engineering team in Lahore. You’ll work on production features end-to-end — from clean UI in Next.js/React to reliable APIs in Node.js — with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and shipping. Work style: Hybrid (3 days in-office in Lahore / 2 days remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web features using Next.js/React with a strong UX and performance mindset
• Design and implement REST APIs in Node.js and integrate third‑party services (payments, email, maps, etc.)
• Model data and write efficient queries (PostgreSQL preferred; MongoDB/Firebase where needed)
• Own features end-to-end: planning, implementation, testing, rollout, monitoring, and iteration
• Write clean, readable code with solid error handling and clear documentation
• Collaborate closely with design/product to turn Figma into pixel‑clean UI
• Set up and improve CI/CD, environments, and release hygiene (staging → production)
• Debug production issues fast, perform root‑cause analysis, and prevent regressions
• Review PRs and mentor juniors through practical feedback (not theory)
• Keep the product secure: auth, permissions, data validation, and basic OWASP hygiene
  
  

Requirements

• 4–5+ years building and shipping web applications in production
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (you understand the “why”, not just the syntax)
• Solid experience with React and/or Next.js (routing, SSR/SSG, data fetching, performance)
• Backend experience with Node.js (Express/Nest) and API design best practices
• Comfortable with databases, migrations, and indexing (PostgreSQL strongly preferred)
• Experience with authentication/authorization (JWT, sessions, RBAC)
• Comfortable with Git workflows (branches, PRs, reviews) and writing meaningful commit messages
• Testing mindset (unit/integration where it matters; not checkbox testing)
• Clear communication: you can explain tradeoffs and keep stakeholders aligned
• Based in Lahore (or able to work from Lahore) and comfortable with hybrid work
  
  

Nice to Have

• Docker in day-to-day dev or deployments
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP) and basic monitoring/logging
• Redis/queues/background jobs
• Experience with performance tuning (profiling, caching, reducing API latency)
• Experience with payments (Stripe) or email infrastructure
• Prior startup experience where you shipped fast without breaking quality
