About the Role

Job-Hopper is seeking a junior-level Full Stack Developer to help build, maintain, and improve its job search platform. This role is suited to someone with approximately 1–3 years of software development experience who is ready to contribute to both frontend and backend development while learning from more senior engineers.

You'll work on real product features, assist with API and database integrations, and help improve the platform's functionality, performance, and reliability. Working remotely with an early-stage engineering team, you'll have opportunities to develop your technical skills, take ownership of assigned tasks, and grow alongside the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior developers to build and maintain features across the frontend and backend.
• Write, test, and debug clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Assist with API development, integrations, and database queries.
• Help build responsive, user-facing interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve coding practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and help maintain application performance and reliability.
• Support day-to-day development tasks and contribute to ongoing platform improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of frontend and backend development fundamentals, including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with databases and building or consuming APIs.
• Basic understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn from experienced developers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements

• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in software development or a related area is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or managed database services such as Supabase.
• Exposure to AI-powered or data-driven product development.
• A self-starter mindset, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through without extensive supervision.
• Adaptability and an interest in taking on broader responsibilities as the company grows.
• An interest in recruiting, HR technology, or job search platforms, and in helping job seekers succeed.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote position. You'll collaborate with the engineering team in a fast-moving, early-stage company, supporting development across the platform while building your experience in full-stack engineering.
