Full stack Engineer

Toonsutra is seeking a dynamic Backend Developer proficient in Node.js, MySQL, and Redis to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for backend systems and data management. This role requires a developer with strong problem-solving skills, an eye for performance optimization, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Backend Development with Node.js:

   • Build robust, scalable, and secure server-side applications using Node.js.

   • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for mobile and web applications.

   • Implement business logic, middleware, and API gateways for seamless data flow.

2. System Design and Architecture:

   • Architect end-to-end solutions for mobile and backend systems.

   • Design scalable microservices architecture with efficient communication between services.

   • Ensure secure data handling and compliance with relevant standards.

3. Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance:

   • Write unit, integration, and performance tests for both frontend and backend components.

   • Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.

   • Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues as needed.

4. Collaboration and Code Quality:

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers.

   • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality code standards.

   • Document technical designs, processes, and APIs for internal and external use.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience:

   • 2+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on backend systems.

   • Hands-on experience in developing and deploying production-ready applications.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficient in computer science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms

   • Strong experience with Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Nest.js).

   • Expertise in database design and management with MySQL.

   • Familiarity with Redis for caching and real-time data operations.

   • Exposure to mobile app development preferred

3. Additional Skills:

   • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

   • Knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration.

   • Familiarity with Docker for containerization and deployment.

   • Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

4. Problem-Solving and Optimization:

   • Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

   • Ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with native development (Swift/Java/Kotlin).

• Understanding of database solutions like SQLite or NoSQL databases.
