Full Stack Engineer

Our client is a growing tech company that builds AI-powered remote IoT devices for manufacturing, industrial and commercial businesses. Thousands of their devices are already installed in the field, collecting data that helps customers monitor their sites remotely and run their operations more efficiently.

They are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to design and build both the backend and frontend of their current products and the new services still to come.

What you’ll do

• Design and build the backend that processes data from thousands of field devices
• Build the APIs that make this data available to customers
• Design and develop frontend screens so users can access their data easily

Tech stack

• Backend: Rust (Axum, GraphQL)
• Frontend: TypeScript (React)
• Storage: PostgreSQL, Redis, Azure Storage
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions
• Monitoring: Grafana
• Tools: GitHub, Swagger, Slack, Notion

What you’ll need

• 5+ years building robust, high-performance software in Rust or TypeScript
• Professional experience with SQL
• Strong documentation skills and comfortable with written, text-based communication
• Business-level Japanese (reading, writing and speaking)

Nice to have

• Experience with, or interest in, functional programming
• 3+ years of web development and operations on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Docker experience
• React Native, Swift or Kotlin experience

Working conditions

• Location: fully remote from within Japan
• Employment: Full-time, permanent
