About the role

We're hiring mid-level to senior full-stack engineers in Medellín to build software for Medallo.dev clients. You'll work across React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend, and you'll use AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor every day to ship faster.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python services and APIs on the backend

• Design data models, APIs, and integrations that hold up in production

• Use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI tools as a core part of how you plan, write, review, and test code, while maintaining ownership of the quality of the deliverable

• Own features end to end: break down the work, ship in small increments, and verify they work in production

• Review code and keep the codebase readable, typed, and tested

• Communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly with teammates and clients

• Join the team in person one day a week at our Medellín coworking space

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with production experience in React
• Production experience with Python on the backend (APIs, services, or data pipelines)
• Hands-on experience using Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow
• Solid full-stack fundamentals: API design, relational databases, auth, and deployment
• Based in Medellín and available to work from a coworking space one day a week

Nice to Have

• English at CEFR B2 or higher, spoken and written
• Prior experience working with English-speaking clients
• Experience with Microsoft Azure

The role is full-time and hybrid: one day a week with the team at a coworking space in Medellín, the rest remote. Medallo.dev provides a laptop, ergonomic chair, and 2nd monitor for your home office if needed.

Compensation is up to COP 12,000,000 per month, depending on fit and experience, along with all legal benefits, with 15 days of paid vacation per year.
