Job Description

This is a remote position.

Seeking Senior developers focused on .NET development and frton-end, UI/UX work to support and enhance enterprise applications serving Iowans across state programs. The resource will be expected to develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using .NET and C#, including MVC and Web Forms where they remain in the environment as well as:

Build front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript, translating designs into responsive, production-quality pages and components.
Apply UX and UI best practices and design thinking in the front end, including layout, interaction patterns, and usability, and collaborate with designers on implementation details.
Implement and extend components within the current Boostrap and Material environment and the enterprise design systems as it rolls out, understanding how a design system differs from a component library or framework.
Code to WCAG 2.1 AA and remediate accessibility issues, testing with assistive technologies such as JAWS and automated tools such as axe.
Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs, with supporting middleware and SQL Server work as needed.
Apply secure coding practices, including appropriate use of encryption APIs, and handle classified and sensitive data in accordance with state requirements.
Manage source control ,deployments, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across applications and environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. (A graduate degree in HCI combined with a solid coding background is preferred)	Required	5+
Strong .NET and C# development experience, and strong front-end development experience.	Required	5+
Demonstrated UX and UI knowledge: design thinking, usability principles, responsive design, and experience turning designs into working interfaces.	Required	5+
Front-end depth in HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript.	Required	5+
Formal WCAG training and demonstrated experience coding and testing for WCAG 2.1 AA, including hands-on use of accessibility testing tools.	Required	5+
Recent experience (within the last three years) with current frameworks and modern best practices.	Required	5+
Experience working within an enterprise design system.	Required	5+
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.	Required	5+
Working knowledge of SQL Server, APIs, and middleware integrations.	Required	5+
