About the project Our client is a specialized digital agency with nearly two decades of experience crafting smart, scalable web solutions. They specialize in custom Shopify development, bespoke applications, and complex third-party integrations — helping global brands build powerful digital commerce experiences. In this role, you will join their growing engineering team to design, build, and optimize high-performing storefronts and industry-leading e-commerce architecture. Your area of responsibility Designing and developing scalable Shopify websites and high-performing digital commerce architecture. Building and customizing Shopify themes utilizing Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to convert designs into responsive, dynamic storefronts. Developing and maintaining complex third-party integrations and robust API connections to extend Shopify’s core capabilities. Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code that aligns with modern development best practices. Partnering closely with designers, project managers, customer success teams, webmasters, and leadership throughout the full project lifecycle. Testing, optimizing, and iterating on client solutions while exploring new technologies to enhance internal development workflows. Skills and requirements 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Full-Stack Developer with deep proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Hands-on proficiency with React, Node.js, and Express.js. Proven experience building and customizing Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, with strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs, and third-party integrations. Working knowledge of PHP, Laravel, and MySQL for robust backend data management and integrations. Proficiency with GitHub, version control, and modern development pipelines. Proven ability to build responsive, high-performing e-commerce websites. Strong ability to translate business constraints into engineering tradeoffs and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Will be a plus Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into your development workflow (e.g., LLMs, code assistants, AI APIs, automation tools).
