Are you a seasoned software engineer looking to drive large-scale digital transformation at the intersection of IoT, cloud architecture, and automated retail?
A strategic technology joint venture in Japan powering one of the world's largest automated retail networks is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to modernize its core digital platform!
In this strategic role, you will modernize legacy operations, building scalable cloud-native applications, edge-to-cloud IoT pipelines, and real-time telemetry systems.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, build, and maintain responsive web and mobile interfaces for operational teams, supported by scalable backend services and APIs.
IoT & Telemetry Integration: Integrate applications with IoT platforms to capture real-time device telemetry (sales, inventory, device status), enabling predictive maintenance and live monitoring.
Enterprise System Integration: Connect platform services with enterprise platforms including ERP (SAP), CRM, and payment gateways using API-first, event-driven architectures.
Data & Smart Capabilities: Collaborate with data teams to power analytics-driven features, demand forecasting, cashless payments, and personalized smart experiences.
Cloud & DevOps Practice: Deploy and maintain applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure) leveraging automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools.
Requirements
Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software development or systems engineering experience.
Modern Tech Stack: Extensive experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
Legacy Modernization: Proven understanding of legacy system modernization concepts and scalable cloud architectures.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, an active learning mindset, and a collaborative approach within cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
