Candidati per questo ruolo 🏠 Full remote (EU, CET±2) plus 1 day/month in Milan required, expenses covered by the company 🦀 Rust (NOT mandatory ), AWS 🎯 5+ years of experience 💰 €60,000 – €80,000 total comp + stock options (open to both contractor engagements and permanent contracts via EOR) 🏢 About the company We are searching for Full Stack Software Engineers for an early-stage startup building clinical AI software for the European healthcare market, focused on women's health. The product has the ambition to grow into a broader women's health journey, and will be certified as a medical device under MDR. The company is led by a CEO with a medical background, has secured significant seed funding, and already has a small structured team across product, design and engineering. This hire will be among the first engineers on the team, working directly with the founders. What you'll do Design, build and ship features end to end: backend services, APIs and user-facing interfaces Integrate AI components (LLMs, agents, pipelines) into a real product, with real constraints on correctness, latency and traceability Use agentic coding tools as part of the daily workflow, with the judgment to know when to trust them and when not to Contribute directly to architecture and product decisions: in a small team, your voice counts from day one Help define the processes and practices the team still needs to build, in a startup at seeding stage Technical requirements 5+ years of professional software development experience Genuine willingness to work full-stack, with real curiosity to pick up new languages, tools and technologies quickly Solid habits around automated testing, code review and CI/CD, treated as a practice rather than a checkbox Interest in, or hands-on experience with, the professional use of agentic coding tools Autonomy and proactivity: at this early stage not everything is defined yet, and this role plays an active part in shaping the processes and practices the team needs Willingness to work in a regulated space: building health software comes with regulatory and compliance requirements, and handling them well is part of the job Strong written and spoken communication in English, the team's working language (Italian is a plus, not a requirement) Nice to have Knowledge of and experience with Rust Hands-on experience integrating and managing LLMs in a product, making their output reliable and measurable Experience developing medical device software under MDR certification You're a great fit if you want to join as one of the first engineers on a product and see your architectural decisions stay in the codebase for the long run, if you can move without being walked through every step, if you know how to work autonomously while keeping code quality and team collaboration high, and if you care about working on a real problem in a large, underserved, fast-growing market.
