Fullstack Developer (Java/React/Node)

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a product engineering team working on cloud-based applications built with React, Node.js, Java Spring Boot, and Azure. The role is hands-on and focused on designing, developing, and improving scalable web applications, APIs, and microservices in a modern distributed environment.

You will work across frontend and backend, contribute to technical decisions, support code quality, and collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and architects. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys building features end to end, understands modern engineering practices, and wants to grow further in architecture, cloud, and platform-level topics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
• Build and improve backend services and APIs using Node.js and Java Spring Boot.
• Work with microservices and integration patterns in a cloud-based environment.
• Participate in solution design, technical refinements, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Support the development of scalable, secure, and reliable applications.
• Improve code quality, maintainability, performance, and test coverage.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes in Azure.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Software Engineer working across frontend and backend.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development.
• Good hands-on experience with React.js.
• Experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Fastify or Express.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot for building REST APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of distributed systems, REST API design, and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud-based environments, preferably Azure.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Practical experience or openness to working with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot.

• Experience with microfrontends or large-scale frontend architecture.
• Knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Functions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Experience with performance optimisation and troubleshooting distributed applications.
• Familiarity with cloud security, scalability, and reliability practices.
• Experience mentoring less experienced developers or supporting technical decision-making in a team.
