Fullstack Developer (PHP, React)
Job Overview
The company seeks a Fullstack Developer (PHP, React) to contribute to the development and optimization of a mature SaaS product for digital asset management (DAM). The person in this role will work on both a modern technology stack and a legacy JavaScript/jQuery application, focusing on performance and scalability for clients managing tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of files. This is a hands‑on engineering position that requires strong backend and frontend skills, operational awareness, and an attention to efficient processing of large media collections.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel with attention to performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using React and TypeScript, ensuring responsiveness and maintainability.
- Integrate and optimize data flows for large media collections, including processing, conversion and retrieval of images, video and other file types.
- Build and maintain integrations with external systems and storage: SFTP/FTP, S3 and other cloud providers, YouTube, Dropbox, Google Cloud and social media platforms.
- Implement and maintain archival and download features (multi-file export as ZIP/TAR) and template-driven format conversion on download.
- Work on search functionality over metadata and custom attributes; contribute to plugin and extension systems and a Chrome extension.
- Support and modernize legacy frontend code (JavaScript and jQuery) while developing new modules on the updated stack.
- Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews and performance tuning; apply containerization and caching where appropriate (Docker, Redis/Valkey).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client-facing portals (configurable CMS-style interfaces) and meet operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of commercial experience working with PHP/Laravel and React in production environments.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript and familiarity with legacy JavaScript/jQuery applications.
- Experience with Docker and caching technologies such as Redis or Valkey.
- Strong understanding of web performance, scalability and optimization for large datasets and file collections.
- Familiarity with integrations to cloud storage and external platforms (S3, FTP/SFTP, Google Cloud, YouTube, Dropbox) and building reliable import/export pipelines.
- Practical knowledge of building search by metadata and custom attributes, and handling file conversions on download.
- Nice to have: exposure to Go, Next.js, Vite, basic Kubernetes knowledge, and practical experience using AWS console.
- Ability to work across legacy and modern codebases and to communicate technical decisions clearly to peers.
Benefits
- Opportunity to work on a mature SaaS product handling large-scale media libraries, with focus on performance engineering and product evolution.
- Remote Work Arrangement.
- Professional development opportunities and collaboration with experienced engineering teams.
- Unique TEAL culture, relationship- and respect-driven community, non-corporate atmosphere.
- Agile approach and no bureaucracy.
- Outstanding integration trips to various places in Europe for all employees.
- Activities to support your well-being and health.
- Luxmed Gold Extended medical care and Multisport Plus benefit.
