Functional Analyst / Business Analyst - Digital & Customer Portal (Freelance)

• Location: Brussels (Hybrid - minimum 2 days onsite per week)
• Contract: Freelance
• Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst / Business Analyst to support the evolution of customer-facing digital platforms and web channels within a dynamic Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and act as the key interface between business and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Model and document business processes and workflows (BPMN/UML).
• Collaborate closely with developers, testers and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Participate in integration testing, QA and UAT activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and change adoption.
• Produce and maintain high-quality functional documentation.

Profile

Must-have

• 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, IT Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis and stakeholder management.
• Experience working on Digital, Web, Customer Portal or Customer Experience projects.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and interact with business stakeholders.
• Experience writing user stories and functional specifications.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML or similar process modelling techniques.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience with QA and UAT testing.
• Fluent in French or Dutch with a good command of English.

Nice to have

• Salesforce experience.
• SAP knowledge.
• Experience with CMS platforms (Magnolia is a plus).
• Knowledge of APIs and Web Services.
• Experience within a B2B, Utilities or Energy environment.
