JOB DESCRIPTION - ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CONTEXT

The functional analyst is part of the Shima team and is responsible for functional analysis within the portfolio of this team:

• Consult with the product owners to obtain the needs and wishes regarding their products.
• Analyzing and synthesizing the needs and desires creating a functional design that allows you to:
• validate the proposed solution with the product owner;
• To convince the developers of which functionalities need to be realized.
• Acting as a point of contact, both inside and outside the team, for functional issues related to the applications and domains that are in the portfolio of the Shima team.
• The functional analyst is therefore expected to work closely with both product owners and developers, taking the necessary initiative
• to bring the functional analysis to a successful conclusion. The functional designs that are made must fit into the overall functional framework
• that has been set up within the Agency.
• The applications and domains in question contain a number of existing and new functional frameworks that are built in or used by many other applications
• within the Client. In addition, the Shima team also builds and maintains applications
• for the follow-up and management of these functional building blocks. In addition, the Shima team builds and maintains a number of applications that support cross-service processes, including customer identification.
• The proposed candidate must at least meet the following competencies, listed in order of importance. This must be evident from the candidate's CV.
• Candidates who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be included in the further selection procedure

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must Have

• Proven experience as a functional analyst with large business-critical applications
• Demonstrable experience and feeling in designing graphical user interfaces for web applications
• Demonstrable experience in technical environments in which the projects are located
• Demonstrable experience with Balsamiq
• Demonstrable professional experience working in a SCRUM context
• Demonstrable professional experience with multiple (complex) projects at the same time
• Demonstrable professional experience in testing (functional testing, regression testing, test scenarios, demos and test sessions,...)
• Can think analytically well and succeeds in drawing up intelligible syntheses
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2

Should Have

• Proven experience of requirement analysis & design concepts for OO, multi-tier and web-enabled, and/or UML environments
• Demonstrable knowledge of relational databases
• Has good communication skills and is able to exchange information and knowledge with both customers and developers
• A real team player, but can also work out business analyses independently
• Knowledge and experience of data and process modeling techniques and tools
• Relevant demonstrable knowledge within the agricultural domain
