D365 F&O Finance Functional Consultant – APAC Rollout - Contract Position

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Engagement: Contract through 30 June 2027, with likely extension

Start: Immediate to 4 weeks

Travel: Occasional APAC travel required

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant to support a major regional ERP transformation programme for a global technology organisation.

The programme involves consolidating multiple finance systems across acquired businesses in Asia Pacific into a standardised D365 Finance platform, improving financial visibility, consistency and reporting across the group.

Working as part of an established international functional team, you will help deploy an existing global ERP template across multiple legal entities, adapting configurations to meet local statutory, tax and business requirements while maintaining a common operating framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure an established D365 F&O Finance global template across APAC entities.
• Work closely with local Finance teams to understand business processes, statutory requirements and reporting needs.
• Support standardisation of financial processes, chart of accounts, reporting structures and financial controls.
• Identify and document localisation requirements, including tax, multi-currency and statutory compliance.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and translate requirements into functional configuration and solution designs.
• Collaborate with regional Functional Consultants, Solution Architects and technical teams.
• Support data migration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live activities.
• Facilitate workshops with Finance stakeholders across different countries.
• Contribute to an agile, phased rollout programme.

About You

• Strong hands-on experience implementing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Proven experience delivering D365 Finance implementations or rollouts across multiple entities or countries.
• Solid functional knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial dimensions and financial reporting.
• Experience working with global ERP templates and local statutory requirements.
• Understanding of multi-currency transactions, tax configurations and intercompany processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, business analysis and functional problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting end-to-end ERP delivery, including configuration, testing and deployment.
• Ability to work independently within a geographically distributed team.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel across APAC.

The Engagement

This is a predominantly remote opportunity, with flexibility to work from home or an office where available.

Occasional travel will be required for regional workshops, local entity engagement and project milestones.

The initial contract is expected to run until June 2027, with a strong possibility of extension as the programme progresses towards its targeted completion in December 2027.
