We are supporting a global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Functional P2P Lead to support the deployment of a validated Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Accounts Payable (AP) core model across the United States and Canada.

This is a customer-side functional oversight role, working closely with the P2P Project Lead and international stakeholders, while the System Integrator (SI) remains responsible for configuration and delivery activities.

• Gather and validate US & Canada P2P/AP business requirements against the existing global core model.
• Identify process gaps, deviations and localisation requirements.
• Support the Project Lead in evaluating options and making functional decisions.
• Review and validate P2P/AP testing activities, ensuring local invoice and payment scenarios are fully covered.
• Act as the primary P2P/AP contact for North American business stakeholders.
• Maintain process documentation, training materials and governance artefacts aligned with the global template.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful deployment and business readiness.
• Escalate unresolved issues, risks and dependencies with clear recommendations and supporting analysis.
• Support stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams.

Skills

• 10+ years of SAP experience within Procure-to-Pay and Finance processes.
• Strong SAP FI-AP expertise and end-to-end P2P process knowledge.
• Experience with:
• Invoice processing
• Accounts Payable
• Payment runs
• Vendor management
• Procurement-to-payment lifecycle
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience, ideally across multinational or multi-country programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering and business process analysis skills.
• Proven experience producing functional documentation and process materials.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within complex transformation programmes.

Desirable Experience

• SAP VIM (Vendor Invoice Management).
• SAP PS (Project Systems).
• SAP CO (Controlling).
• Experience supporting North American business processes.
• Experience working alongside System Integrators in large-scale SAP transformation programmes.
• Global template or core model deployment experience.
