Position Overview

We are seeking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to join our Fund Accounting Unit within Markets & Funds Operations.Fund Accounting Unit is responsible to provide accurate and timely fund accounting output, in line with our clients’ (Investment Management Companies) business needs. In your roleas a Fund Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting and reporting for the assigned Mutual Funds and work alongside Investment Managers to ensure that investment funds are well serviced.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Calculating and reporting the daily Net Asset Value per Unit for Mutual Funds investment portfolios.
• Performing daily reconciliations of funds' cash and investment positions with prime broker/custodian accounts.
• Recording accurately, in line with internal policies and procedures, accounting records such as securities positions, corporate actions, accruals, fees, expenses, and other journal entries. Identifying exceptions and issues affecting accounting records, communicating with management, and assisting in their resolution.
• Preparing Mutual Funds' annual and semi-annual financial statements with footnotes in compliance with Greek Law and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and supporting independent audit firms during the funds' annual and semi-annual reviews.
• Assisting with business development efforts, responding to client-specific reporting/analysis requests, and contributing to various projects.
  
  

You Will Be a Great Candidate If You Have

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a quantitative field of study. A postgraduate degree will be considered as an additional qualification.
• Up to 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Any related professional qualifications (i.e. CFA, ACCA) completed or in progress will be highly appreciated.
• A solid understanding of financial instruments and/or Mutual Funds, of general & financial accounting principles and of financial ratios.
• Excellent command of Greek and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility and can-do attitude.
