Fund Controller, Officer

We are pleased to be relied upon exclusively to support a real estate investment manager in Luxembourg in their search for someone with 4-8 years (only) of experience, to fill the post of Fund Controller.

Key Responsibilities as a Junior Financial Controller

• Oversee the delivery and review of periodic fund and investment vehicle financial statements under IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP.
• Review fund performance, investor returns, valuations, management fees and distribution forecasts.
• Coordinate external audits and oversee internal, regulatory and investor reporting.
• Oversee cash management, invoice approvals and payment authorization across funds and investment entities.
• Support acquisitions, disposals and refinancing, including transaction implementation, due diligence reviews and NAV calculations.
• Assess purchase price adjustments and related financial and tax considerations.
• Coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance, including FATCA/CRS reporting, in collaboration with tax specialists.
• Monitor transfer pricing documentation and entity substance requirements.
• Manage external service providers, monitoring service quality, deliverables and performance against agreed standards.
• Respond to investor and stakeholder queries, while driving improvements in financial controls, reporting and operational processes.

Preferred experience:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related subject
• Preference for an accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
• 4-8 years of relevant experience, some as a Fund Controller
• Experience covering financial accounting or auditing of real estate investment vehicles
• Strong practical knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS (including consolidation)
• Have a proactive and curious mindset
• Be hands-on and willing to embrace additional tasks and challenges
• Be a strong team player, whilst taking ownership of your responsibilities
• Fluent English language skills

Our client wishes for all applicants to have 3+ years of experience working in the Luxembourg investment funds market and will not offer a work permit for this role.

Regrettably, we cannot consider those without Luxembourg work experience.
