Title: Fund Development Manager – Individual Giving & Fundraising Events
Reports to: Director of Fund Development
Supervises: n/a
Position: Full-Time, salaried
Location: Leadership Center, Hybrid
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Fund Development Manager is responsible for acquiring, cultivating, retaining, and stewarding individual donors in support of the organization’s philanthropic goals. This position manages an assigned donor portfolio and leads individual giving efforts including annual giving, Daisy’s Circle (recurring giving), donor stewardship and retention, alumnae engagement. The manager supports CRO, Director and CEO on moves management for major gifts, as well as supporting all event logistics related to individual donors and corporate sponsors to include signature events, camp visits, alumnae experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage an assigned portfolio of individual donors and prospects with an annual revenue goal.
- Cultivate and steward donors through phone, email, meetings, events, and other personalized outreach.
- Collaborate with MarCom to design donor acquisition, retention, renewal, and moves management strategies to include Proud Girl Scout Supporter and end of year giving campaigns.
- Lead recurring giving efforts through engagement and ongoing promotion of Daisy’s Circle.
- Develop and implement alumnae engagement strategies in partnership with Fund Development leadership.
- Prospect and identify donors with potential for increased engagement or giving and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Coordinate donor handoffs to the CRO or CEO when deeper cultivation is appropriate.
- Maintain accurate donor activity and relationship information in the fundraising CRM.
- Track and report individual giving results, including acquisition, retention, recurring giving, upgrades, and reactivation.
- Gather mission impact stories for utilization in all areas of fund development.
- Support and at times lead donor events and fundraising activities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3+ years in fundraising to include individual giving, donor communications and/or events.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort engaging donors by phone, email, and in person.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage a donor portfolio and follow-up schedule.
- Experience with fundraising CRM systems preferred.
- Goal-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use a computer and other office equipment, and occasionally lift or carry materials for up to 20 pounds.
Other Requirements
- Must maintain current Girl Scouts of the USA membership throughout employment.
- Must successfully complete required background screening and other employment-related requirements.
- Must reside in Florida within the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida service area, in accordance with Council policy.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Council requirements for driving on Council business, when driving is required to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule and report to the Leadership Center.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend meetings, donor engagements, and events.
Starting annualized salary: $45,000.00
