Your role

The Fund Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management, accounting integrity, and reporting accuracy of private equity real estate funds and/or separate accounts. The role partners closely with investment teams, Asset Management, Treasury, Investor Relations, tax advisors, auditors, fund administrators, and other key stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee fund-level and investment-level accounting and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with fund partnership agreements and applicable standards.

  • Establish and maintain financial and performance reporting policies and procedures aligned with applicable standards and governing bodies, including US GAAP, SEC, PREA, GIPS, and NCREIF requirements.

  • Oversee capital calls, distributions, investor contributions, and allocations of income, expenses, gains, losses, and fees; review waterfall calculations, carried interest, preferred returns, catch-up provisions, capital accounts, and ownership percentages.

  • Calculate and review quarterly and annual fund NAVs, ensuring consistency across valuation inputs, asset performance, financial reporting, and third-party valuations; coordinate annual budgets and leasing updates with Altus as applicable.

  • Oversee investor reporting packages, including quarterly financial statements, capital account statements, and performance metrics such as IRR, MOIC, and distributions, while partnering with Investor Relations to address investor inquiries.

  • Serve as a primary contact for external auditors, fund administrators, and tax advisors; lead annual fund audits, review audited financial statements and management representation letters, and coordinate tax reporting, including K-1s.

  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and recapitalizations from a fund accounting perspective, including reviewing transaction models, coordinating closing and post-closing accounting, and assessing investor allocation and reporting impacts.

  • Partner with Acquisitions and Asset Management to monitor financial covenant compliance, cash flow performance, fund-level financial activity, and other portfolio reporting requirements.

  • Oversee fund accounting systems, general ledger integrity, reporting tools, internal controls, and documentation standards while driving automation and process improvements across financial reporting cycles.

  • Support the continued scalability of fund accounting operations, including new fund launches and investment strategies, while ensuring compliance with partnership agreements, regulatory requirements, valuation policies, and internal controls.

What you’ll need

  • Demonstrated experience in fund accounting, fund finance, or private equity real estate finance.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and private equity real estate fund accounting and reporting.

  • Experience with partnership accounting, capital accounts, waterfalls, carried interest, preferred returns, and investor allocations.

  • Experience calculating and overseeing NAV and real estate valuation processes.

  • Experience preparing or overseeing investor reporting and fund performance metrics, including IRR and MOIC.

  • Experience managing external audits, tax reporting, fund administrators, and third-party valuation providers.

  • Strong understanding of partnership agreements, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.

  • Experience supporting acquisitions, dispositions, financings, recapitalizations, and related transaction accounting.

  • Experience with fund accounting systems, general ledger controls, reporting tools, automation, and process improvement.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across investment, asset management, treasury, tax, audit, and investor relations teams.
