Funding Specialist

Funding & Investor Outreach for a consumer AI chat and roleplay platform focused on custom characters, immersive conversations, persistent memory, and interactive storytelling.

The product is already live, and Velvet is currently exploring funding opportunities to support future growth.

This is a remote, flexible volunteer role for someone interested in startups, venture capital, fundraising, or AI.

Responsibilities

• Research relevant angel investors, VC firms, accelerators, and startup funding opportunities.
• Help organize and maintain a simple list of potential investors and funding contacts.
• Support basic investor outreach and follow-up communication.
• Assist with fundraising materials such as pitch decks or short funding summaries when needed.

Who we’re looking for

• Interest in startups, venture capital, fundraising, AI, or consumer technology.
• Good research and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently.
• No extensive fundraising experience required.
• Previous experience with startups, finance, business, or investor research is a plus.
