2D Game Artist
Full-time · Turkey · Remote
We’re developing a mobile PvP game and looking for a 2D Game Artist with 2–3 years of professional experience to shape its visual identity and own art production.
As the sole artist on a small development team, you’ll have a direct role in the game’s creative direction. Your focus will be expressive, stylized 2D artwork, working closely with the developer to turn your ideas into polished in-game visuals.
We move fast and see AI-assisted workflows as part of our creative process. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable using AI tools to explore ideas, accelerate iteration, and support production while maintaining a consistent visual style and high quality.
What you’ll do
- Design characters, environments, props, and UI assets that feel part of the same world.
- Develop a clear visual style and practical guidelines for consistent production.
- Prepare layered artwork for animation and integration into the game.
- Use AI tools where they add value, from early concepts to asset variations, refining the results into cohesive artwork ready for the game.
- Work with the developer to refine how assets look and behave on screen.
- Improve visual clarity, consistency, and polish through feedback and iteration.
What you’ll bring
- A portfolio demonstrating stylized game art, with relevant character, environment, or UI work.
- Confidence taking assets from initial sketches to final delivery.
- A good understanding of shape, color, composition, and readability on mobile screens.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent digital art tools.
- Familiarity with AI image generation and editing tools, and the judgment to choose when to use them and when to work by hand.
- The ability to iterate quickly, respond to changing priorities, and balance production speed with visual quality.
- Organized source files, clear communication, and the ability to plan your work independently.
Additional experience we value
2D animation, cartoon VFX, simple 3D asset creation, or experience working in a game engine. We use Godot; familiarity with it is welcome.
This is an opportunity to influence the overall look of a game, own your work from concept through implementation, and collaborate directly with the people building it.
