Game Designer – Voxel Assets & Visual Design

Job Description This is a remote position. We are seeking a Game Designer with a creative eye and strong experience in 3D asset creation to design visual assets for a voxel-based game. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about stylized visuals and crafting coherent, block-style environments (similar to Minecraft), while collaborating with developers to ensure seamless integration with a custom-built game engine. Design voxel-style visual assets aligned with a Minecraft-like aesthetic. Create 2D, 2.5D, and 3D assets using tools such as Blender. Design textures, materials, and models suitable for in-game use. Ensure visual consistency across environments, objects, and props. Export and prepare assets in formats suitable for engine integration. Collaborate closely with the Games Developer to align on technical constraints. Iterate on assets based on gameplay, performance, or engine feedback. Requirements Strong creative background in 3D design, digital art, or game asset development. Proficiency in Blender or similar 3D modeling tools. Understanding of core concepts such as textures, materials, UV mapping, and low-poly/voxel design techniques. Ability to adapt creative output to technical constraints, such as poly count, memory usage, and performance. Demonstrated ability to maintain visual consistency and style cohesion across game assets. Strong attention to detail and responsiveness to iterative feedback.
