Game localization and creative writing (Simplified Chinese to Japanese)-remote freelancer

With over 1000 well-known global game developers and publishers as our clients, we are looking for Game Localization and creative writing talents with native or near-native language skills in Japanese & Simplified Chinese (China) to join us to provide client support in a dynamic and exciting environment. Important information: This position is on a freelance contract. Duration: 3 months (with a possibility to extend for longer collaboration) Working hours: Core Business Hours (8 hours per day) in APAC, Mon. – Fri. Set-up: remote. Responsibilities Translate/Localize and perform creative writing for gaming contents from Simplified Chinese to Japanese. Collaborate closely with the localization team and development team – communicate translation needs, help resolve issues during the translation process. Requirements Writing ability: near professional/literary writer level, with strong awareness of Japanese writing styles and expressive techniques Proven skill: Demonstrates strong skills in Gaming translation (localization)/LQA. Must have experience playing story-driven/narrative games. Experience working for a variety of game types or genres. Prior experience in writing original stories, novels, books or scripts is highly desirable, with a strong emphasis on creative writing skills and imaginative thinking.
