GCP Data Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced Google Data Engineeron behalf of one of our major clients (Telecommunications Sector). The team you'll join, supports data capabilities, products, and business intelligence solutions while modernizing and migrating data platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, designing and developing data flows and data products on public cloud platforms.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies and Serverless Computing, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery and cloud-native data processing solutions.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, code modularity, testing, and maintainability.
• Knowledge of batch and data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Dataflow). Excellent Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow and GCP Composer for workflow automation and scheduling.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience building and deploying containerized workloads using Cloud Run will be highly appreciated.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform will be highly appreciated.
• Experience in enterprise transformation or cloud migration projects will be highly appreciated.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Agile teams is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
