Your day at NTT Data

Build and operate enterprise data platforms and pipelines that make structured and unstructured data usable by GenAI applications. Bring strong data engineering skills, practical cloud experience and familiarity with AI tools. Work with the existing Cloud, AI and Security teams to deliver reliable, scalable and cost-efficient solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build data pipelines. Implement ingestion, transformation and integration workflows; orchestrate scheduled or incremental processing, retries and recovery.
• Develop data platforms. Implement lakehouse or warehouse solutions on the selected platform; structure data, schemas and metadata for reliable downstream use.
• Prepare data for GenAI. Process enterprise documents, preserve source traceability and permissions, and connect data to embedding, indexing and retrieval services with AI engineers.
• Integrate services. Connect LLM APIs and GenAI tools to data workflows and applications using the existing cloud environment and approved access patterns.
• Improve quality and efficiency. Monitor data quality, pipeline failures, latency, throughput and cost; improve retrieval relevance with AI engineers against agreed examples.
• Deliver maintainable systems. Version code and configuration, automate tests and releases, troubleshoot incidents, and document designs, runbooks and handover.

MUST HAVE - CORE REQUIREMENTS

• Production data engineering. 5+ years in data engineering, data platforms or related software engineering, including hands-on delivery and support of production data pipelines.
• Python, SQL and data design. Practical ETL/ELT, data modelling, orchestration, API integration, data quality checks and metadata management.
• One data platform. Hands-on implementation with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or an equivalent enterprise data platform; explain your own delivery contribution.
• One cloud. Practical Azure, AWS or GCP experience for data workloads, including storage, service connectivity, identity/access and secrets management.
• Engineering and AI fundamentals. Git, CI/CD, logs/metrics and troubleshooting; familiarity with LLM APIs and AI tools, plus understanding of RAG, embeddings and retrieval data flows.
• Collaboration. Clear technical documentation and communication; relevant degree or equivalent practical engineering experience.
• RAG delivery. Hands-on RAG solution development, including document chunking, embedding pipelines and integration of LLM services.

NICE TO HAVE - PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Vector and enterprise search. Vector database or enterprise search implementation; hybrid search, reranking and retrieval-quality evaluation.
• GenAI operations. Prompt/configuration versioning, response evaluation, usage/cost monitoring or relevant cloud/data certifications.

DELIVERY SCOPE & HIRING PRIORITY

• Own data-platform and pipeline delivery. Coordinate cloud provisioning and platform operations with the Cloud team, and apply controls agreed with Security and Governance specialists.

Work Schedule:

• Hybrid working mode.
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 17:00.
• Flexible start hours between 7:45 AM and 9:00 AM with manager approval.
