What you might bring: A background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, cryptography, finance, AI/ML , or other relevant technical or research-focused disciplines. Hands-on experience building or supporting products, research, or infrastructure in Web3, DeFi, or Layer 1/L2 ecosystems. Experience in one or more of the following research areas: protocol design , ZK systems , applied cryptography , DeFi , MEV , or governance mechanisms . Strong written and verbal communication skills , and an ability to collaborate across distributed, async teams. A proactive mindset and ability to thrive in ambiguity , taking ownership and driving impact with minimal direction. Passion for Ethereum, open-source software, and the long-term vision of decentralized networks. Bonus if you have: Experience contributing to open-source projects (especially in Ethereum or related ecosystems). Familiarity with Ethereum protocol internals , smart contract security, rollups, or cryptoeconomic design. Understanding of decentralized governance , tokenomics, or on-chain data analysis. Product thinking, systems design, or experience in technical project management. AI/ML research or development experience, especially as applied in the crypto space.
