Generative AI Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Generative AI Engineer to help develop, test, and improve practical generative AI solutions. You will build and enhance applications using large language models and work with business and engineering teams on real-world AI-powered features.

BeaconFire, based in Central NJ and specializing in Software Development, Web Development, Business Intelligence, and AI-powered solutions, is seeking a Junior Generative AI Engineer. We are looking for candidates who are good communicators, self-motivated, and passionate about building practical AI applications.

You will play a key role in developing, testing, and improving generative AI solutions that address real-world business needs.

Qualifications

• Passion for artificial intelligence and a strong desire to learn.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or machine learning concepts.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications, academic projects, or personal projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and cloud-based applications is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to identify opportunities for generative AI solutions.
• Develop and integrate AI-powered features into business applications.
• Build and improve applications that use large language models and related AI technologies.
• Prepare, process, and organize data used by AI applications.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Stay current with developments in generative AI and apply relevant best practices.
• Work with engineering leads and other teams to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered.

Location: Remote to start

Salary: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
