Providence is calling for Genetic Counselor - Remote

The Genetic Counselor will deliver high-quality genetic counseling services across the Providence organization through telemedicine in support of the implementation and growth of system genetics programs in collaboration with the Genomics leadership team, regional physicians, genetic counselors, and clinical support staff. The Genetic Counselor will serve as a flexible clinical resource for regions with limited or emerging genetics capacity, providing direct patient care, assisting with program launches, and partnering with local clinical teams to integrate Genomics programs into practice at their ministry. In addition to clinical care, the Genetic Counselor participates in multidisciplinary case conferences, provider education, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, workflow development, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.
  • Upon hire: Genetic Counselor License - State Board - where applicable.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Genetic Counselor - American Board of Genetic Counseling.
  • 3 years' experience providing patient-facing genetic counseling and risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience with alternative service delivery models, including population screening
